The baby of a pregnant woman stabbed multiple times in the street has been delivered safely but the woman is fighting for her life in hospital.
Police said the baby is "doing well" but the child's 40-year-old mother remains in a critical condition after the attack in Sutton Coldfield on Friday afternoon. A 41-year-old man was immediately detained in connection with the attack in the busy town centre and remains in custody, West Midlands Police said.
