Former NDDC MD's Mother' Abducted In Delta

About eight gunmen, led by a female, on Tuesday kidnapped the 83 year-old mother of the former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Senator Emmanuel Edesiri Aguariavwodo, from her residence in Okpare-Olomu, Ughelli South Council Area of Delta State.
Report from close relative said Madam Sarah Aguariavwodo was abducted at about midnight on Tuesday by heavily armed kidnappers. According to reports the kidnappers scared away residents with sporadic shooting into the air.
"Attempts to kidnap mama failed three times before this one on Tuesday. The kidnappers came in two cars and as they shot sporadically to scare people away, they succeeded in kidnapping mama," the former aide stated.
Contacted, the State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Celestina Kalu confirmed the story and assured that the police and other security agencies were working round the clock to rescue her.
